Wilko Johnson 12.7.47 – 21.11.22

This is the announcement we never wanted to make, and we do so, on behalf of Wilko’s family and the band, with a very heavy heart:
Wilko Johnson died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Westcliff On Sea on Monday evening, 21st November 2022. He was 75.
Thank you for respecting Wilko’s family’s privacy at this very sad time, and thank you all for having been such a tremendous support throughout Wilko’s incredible life.
RIP Wilko Johnson.

The Lighthouse, Poole – a clarification:

Having discussed, as promised, the numerous complaints received about the sound at the Lighthouse Poole with our crew and promoter, we’d like to share the following clarification: the sound problems experienced at the Lighthouse were largely due to issues with the house PA, however matters were made worse when a number of dancing audience-members fell over the FOH position, ripping out the cable that links the desk to the stage. Our sound engineer had to reconnect and set up the desk again for it to work. There were other associated issues that ultimately made the situation impossible for our sound crew, who worked very hard to try to recover the situation and in whom we continue to have full confidence.

(Just to reassure, the rescheduling of these shows have nothing to do with health reasons.)
